Grand premiere for 'CRUIJFF' in the Johan Cruijff ArenA
Almost ten years after his passing, the greatest Dutch footballer of all time will receive the most fitting tribute imaginable. On Saturday, 21 March 2026, the world premiere of the four-part documentary 'Cruijff' will take place at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

A record-worthy premiere

During the premiere in the ArenA, the first two episodes — each 45 minutes long, just like two halves of a football match — will be shown on the big screen. With an expected attendance of over 46,000 visitors, the event could become the most attended documentary premiere in the world.

A global production with unique footage

The documentary is produced by Lusus in collaboration with the international and Oscar-winning Box To Box Films (known for Senna, Diego Maradona and Drive to Survive) and Tucan Entertainment.

Cruijff features never-before-seen footage from the family archive, as well as contributions from countless football legends who share their memories and insights.
