Ajax Legends mural

Design a mural of Ajax legends for an 18-meter-long wall in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. This was the challenge for George Adegite, a local street artist from Amsterdam Zuidoost. Today, his design featuring four iconic Ajax legends was unveiled on the Second Ring at the east side of the stadium.

Four icons

Matthijs de Ligt, Patrick Kluivert, Marco van Basten and Piet Keizer are the four Ajax legends depicted on the massive wall illustration alongside their younger selves. With this mural, we want to honor these players together with Ajax. Several of them have experienced unforgettable moments in the ArenA, Ajax's home, along with thousands of supporters.

The artist

The mural was designed by George Adegite, a local street artist from Amsterdam Southeast. George is a well-known illustrator and also works as a fashion designer and art director. He won a Dutch Creativity Award for 'SiMSALABiMS', a comic about the Bijlmer that gained national recognition.

See it yourself

Every match, the 6,000 season ticket holders seated in the Second Ring East can admire the mural. Additionally, the Legends mural will be part of the ArenA stadium tour several times a day during the autumn break. Exact times will be announced later.
