Creating next-level fan experiences
Since the first innovation challenge in 2019, over 700 organizations from more than 55 countries have submitted their solution in the Reimagine Football Challenge. The organizing partners, the Royal Netherlands Football Association KNVB, AFC Ajax, the Johan Cruijff ArenA and supporting partner the Eredivisie CV are happy to announce a new challenge for the best fan experience solutions.

Fan experience in three themes

Over 70 previous solutions have been selected and implemented. Following this success, the upcoming challenge focuses on enhancing the fan experience, inside and outside of the stadium, in-person and digitally. The Dutch football sector chose three themes for the search for intelligent innovations in the field of fan experience:

Personalized fan journey:
How can we create memorable fan experiences before, during, and after the game?
Every fan is unique, and by providing them with a personalized experience, their experience inside the stadium and before and after the game can be significantly enriched. This challenge aims at improving the fan journey by personalizing, increasing, and enhancing the array of services for the fans.

The WOW for the crowd:
How can we provide the best show and experience for all fans?
Fans should enjoy the most unforgettable experience, whether they are watching live in the stadium or whether they are watching from home. The second challenge aims to enhance the ambiance inside and outside the stadium. It is about bringing new storytelling ways to life, involving fans.

Your clean and sustainable stadium:
How can we stimulate fans to contribute to a cleaner stadium and reduce waste?
Fans should be able to enjoy all stadium experiences in a clean and sustainable environment. Therefore the last challenge is aimed at involving fans to keep the stadium clean and reduce waste. Market-ready solutions and ideas and best practices are accepted that help stimulate and reward fans to prevent litter and clean up trash in their surroundings.
