From its inception the Johan Cruijff ArenA has worked very closely together with its partners. A distinction is made between Founders, Business Partners and regular suppliers.

Financing of the Johan Cruijff ArenA was largely possible thanks to a financial contribution from eight major companies. These companies are the Founders of the Amsterdam ArenA. In exchange for a financial contribution, the founders have been given delivery rights and or exposure rights for the duration of 10 years. After the period of 10 years, Philips Nederland and Amsterdam RAI decided not to renew their delivery and exposure rights and Grolsche Bierbrouwery Nederland B.V. decided not to renew their delivery and exposure rights after 21 years. All other Founders are still actively involved in the stadium.
